BOOM INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY POLICY

OVERVIEW

Boom respects the intellectual property rights of creators.

This platform exists to protect original work, not exploit it.

You are responsible for ensuring that anything you upload, share, or submit:

• belongs to you, or
• you have full rights and permission to use

Content that violates intellectual property rights is not allowed and will be removed.

1. CORE PRINCIPLE

If you didn’t create it — don’t post it.

Boom is built for:

• original work
• human creativity
• authentic expression

Not reposting. Not copying. Not imitation.

2. COPYRIGHT

What Copyright Protects

Copyright protects original works of authorship, including:

• videos
• music
• photography
• visual art
• written content

It protects how something is expressed — not the idea itself.

Copyright Infringement

You may not upload or share content that:

• uses someone else’s work without permission
• reproduces copyrighted material
• includes protected content without rights or authorization

This includes:

• music
• artwork
• videos
• images
• any creative material owned by another party

Important Note

Not all uses of copyrighted material are unlawful.

Some jurisdictions allow limited use under exceptions such as:

• fair use (United States)
• fair dealing (EU and other regions)

These exceptions are limited and depend on:

• purpose
• transformation
• amount used
• impact on the original creator

You are responsible for understanding whether your use qualifies.

3. TRADEMARKS

What Trademarks Protect

Trademarks include:

• brand names
• logos
• slogans
• visual identifiers

They distinguish the source of goods or services.

Trademark Infringement

You may not:

• use a brand in a way that causes confusion
• present yourself as affiliated with a brand when you are not
• misuse logos or branding without permission

Allowed Uses

You may:

• reference brands for commentary, criticism, or review
• create fan content, provided you do not misrepresent affiliation

4. CREATIVE INTEGRITY & ORIGINALITY

Boom enforces a higher standard than traditional platforms.

The following is not allowed:

• reposted content without transformation
• copied or derivative work presented as original
• content that imitates or replicates another creator’s work without meaningful originality

All content must be:

• created by you
• original in execution
• aligned with Boom’s Community Guidelines

5. AI & SYNTHETIC CONTENT

Boom is a human-only creative platform.

The following is strictly prohibited:

• AI-generated content
• AI-assisted content where AI contributes to the output
• synthetic or manipulated media presented as original

Any content created using AI tools is not eligible for the platform and may be removed.

6. REPORTING INFRINGEMENT

If you believe your intellectual property has been used without permission, you may submit a report.

Your report should include:

• identification of the copyrighted or trademarked work
• identification of the infringing content
• your contact information
• a statement of ownership or rights
• a statement made in good faith

Incomplete reports may not be processed.

Boom may share your complaint details with the user who posted the content.

7. COUNTER-NOTIFICATION

If your content is removed and you believe this was done in error, you may submit a counter-notification.

Your submission should include:

• identification of the removed content
• a statement explaining your rights to use it
• your contact details

Boom may forward your counter-notification to the original complainant.

Legal action may follow in some cases.

8. ENFORCEMENT

Boom may take the following actions:

• remove infringing content
• issue warnings
• suspend accounts
• permanently ban users

Repeat violations will result in termination.

Boom reserves the right to refuse new accounts from users previously removed for infringement.

9. PLATFORM ROLE

Boom does not adjudicate disputes between users.

We act on:

• valid complaints
• clear violations
• legal obligations

Where appropriate, disputes should be resolved directly between parties or through legal channels.

10. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY

You are solely responsible for the content you post.

If you are unsure whether your content:

• infringes copyright
• violates trademark law

you should seek legal advice before posting.
