BOOM OFFICIAL COMPETITION RULES

OVERVIEW

Boom User Generated Content Competition (“Competition”) is a skill-based competition hosted by We Are Boom LLC (“Boom” or “Sponsor”).

By entering, all participants (“Contestants”) agree to comply with:

• these Official Rules
• Boom’s Terms of Service
• Boom’s Community Guidelines
• Boom’s Privacy Policy

(collectively, the “Platform Documents”).

In the event of any conflict, these Official Rules will prevail.

COMPETITION PERIOD

The Competition begins at 12:00 a.m. (PST) March 1, 2025 and continues until terminated by Boom at its sole discretion.

Each monthly cycle constitutes a “Monthly Competition Period.”

ELIGIBILITY

• Open to users aged 18+, or 13+ with parental/guardian consent
• Open globally, subject to local laws
• Employees of Boom and their immediate families are not eligible

Contestants may enter as:

• individuals
• duos
• groups

The account holder who uploads the content is deemed the official entrant.

COMPETITION STRUCTURE

Monthly Competition

• There are 11 creative categories
• Each category awards one (1) winner per month
• Each winner receives USD $1,000

Competition Activation

A category becomes active in a given month only if:

• a minimum of 3 eligible submissions are received in that specific category

If not reached:

• entries roll into the following month
• activation continues until the threshold is met

Annual Prize Qualification

• Each monthly category winner automatically qualifies for the Annual Prize

Annual Prize Activation

The Annual Prize is only activated once:

• all 11 categories have produced at least one monthly winner within a single cycle

Once this occurs:

• the Annual Competition becomes active

HOW TO ENTER

To enter:

1. Download the Boom App
2. Create an account
3. Upload original content
4. Select “Enter Competition”

Requirements:

• Account must be public
• No limit on entries
• Each submission must be substantially different

CONTENT REQUIREMENTS

All submissions must:

• Be original and created by the Contestant
• Comply with Boom Community Guidelines
• Be appropriate for audiences 13+
• Not infringe any intellectual property rights

STRICT PROHIBITIONS

Submissions will be disqualified if they include:

• AI-generated or AI-assisted content of any kind
• Reposted or unoriginal content
• Copyright or trademark violations
• Hate speech, harassment, or discrimination
• Sexual exploitation or explicit sexual content
• Any content involving minors in sexualized contexts
• Dangerous, illegal, or harmful activity
• Fraud, manipulation, or attempts to game the system

Boom reserves the right to disqualify any submission at its sole discretion.

SCORING SYSTEM (MONTHLY)

Each submission accumulates points as follows:

• Vote = 10 points
• Boom Coin = 20 points
• Like = 1 point
• New Follower = 1 point

Total points determine ranking within each category.

WINNER DETERMINATION (MONTHLY)

• Highest total points = leading submission
• Boom reserves the right to review all top entries for:
  • rule compliance
  • authenticity
  • manipulation

Boom may apply a Sponsor Vote where necessary to ensure fairness.

Final decisions are binding and at Sponsor discretion.

WINNER VERIFICATION

A Contestant is not a winner until:

• identity is verified via government-issued ID
• compliance checks are completed
• Boom formally announces the winner

ANNUAL WINNER DETERMINATION

Once the Annual Prize has been activated, all eligible Monthly Winners will be evaluated to determine the Annual Winner.

The Annual Winner will be selected based on a combination of:

• Creative Merit (originality, skill, execution)
• Impact (emotional, cultural, or artistic resonance)
• Consistency (quality and contribution across the Competition Period)
• Authentic Engagement (genuine interaction from the community)

Evaluation will be conducted by Boom.

ANNUAL EVALUATION PROCESS

The Annual Winner is determined through a multi-step review process:

1. Eligibility Screening
   All Monthly Winners are reviewed to ensure:
   • full compliance with Official Rules
   • no use of prohibited tools (including AI)
   • no manipulation of engagement or scoring
2. Creative Review
   Boom evaluates each eligible Contestant’s body of work submitted during the Competition Period.
3. Integrity Review
   Boom verifies:
   • authenticity of engagement
   • absence of fraudulent activity
   • adherence to platform values
4. Final Selection
   One (1) Annual Winner is selected by Boom based on the criteria outlined above.

FINAL AUTHORITY

All decisions regarding the Annual Winner are:

• made in good faith
• final and binding
• not subject to appeal

Boom reserves the right to:

• disqualify any Contestant at any stage
• withhold the Annual Prize if no eligible Contestant meets the required standard

ANNUAL WINNER NOTIFICATION

The Annual Winner will be:

• notified via email
• publicly announced on the Boom platform

A Contestant is not a winner until:

• identity verification is complete
• compliance checks are finalized
• official announcement is made

PRIZES

Monthly Prize

• USD $1,000 per category
• Paid via Electronic Funds Transfer

Annual Prize

• USD $100,000
• One winner only (not shared)
• Paid via Electronic Funds Transfer

GENERAL RESTRICTIONS

Contestants may not:

• buy, sell, or trade votes, likes, or engagement
• use bots, scripts, or automation
• offer incentives for engagement
• manipulate scoring systems

Violations may result in:

• disqualification
• account suspension
• permanent ban

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY & LICENSE

Contestants retain ownership of their content.

However, by entering, Contestants grant Boom:

• a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license
• to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and promote the content
• across all media formats

This includes use for:

• marketing
• promotion
• platform distribution

ENFORCEMENT & DISQUALIFICATION

Boom may:

• remove submissions
• disqualify Contestants
• suspend or terminate accounts

This includes any breach of:

• these Official Rules
• Platform Documents
• applicable laws

LIABILITY RELEASE

By participating, Contestants agree to release and hold harmless:

• Boom
• its affiliates
• employees
• partners

from any liability arising from:

• participation
• submission content
• prize acceptance or use

COMPETITION MODIFICATION

Boom reserves the right to:

• modify, suspend, or terminate the Competition
• adjust rules where necessary
• act to preserve fairness and integrity

DATA & PRIVACY

Personal data is handled in accordance with Boom’s Privacy Policy.
